History

Company Gemipap located in Mała Nieszawka (near the city of Toruń) was established in 1992. The principal scope of business included sale of paper and cardboard in sheets imported from Germany and Scandinavian countries on the Polish market. At the same time, the company additionally offered paper cutting service on a guillotine.

After a few years, the company also started to deal with cutting paper and cardboard from reels into sheets on a sheeter. This field of operation turned out to be so promising that owners of the company decided to gradually broaden this service.

In 1996, it was decided that a new sheeter would be ordered and installed, whereas paper sale would be dropped. In consequence, the period of 1996 to 2000 was the time of many investments focusing on establishing a professional base for sheeting service.

At the end of 2002, the company commenced extension of the plant to reach the target area of 6 000 square meters. The first construction stage was completed in 2004. In the same year, another new sheeter was already installed in the warehouse. Due to this sheeter, Gemipap started to offer its service in the highest quality and with shorter lead times.

In order to meet the constantly growing demand for this service and to increase output capacity, Management Board of the company decided to purchase another sheeter in 2005.

In the years 2007 - 2010 in response to the growing needs of the market, it was decided to buy more machines and to build additional 2,000 sqm warehouse for finished goods. The finished goods warehouse is equipped with 3 loading docks.

Current machinery park:

  • 5 Cross cutting machines (sheeter’s)
  • Rewinding Machine
  • Guillotine POLAR 176

Modern and versatile machinery ensures output capacity of Gemipap reaching 180,000 tons per year.
